CORVA ANNUAL MEETING 2009
Our Annual Meeting will take place on Saturday, May 30th in Bakersfield. All members are invited to attend and if you’re current on your dues (check the mailing label) you will receive a postcard announcement with more information. One of our bylaw changes of 2007 created a staggered board. We have 3 offices on the Association board due at this time; each officer was elected last year and served for one year. Those offices are; President, Vice President - Land Resources & Public Policy and Secretary. Each of those positions will serve a standard two year term this time.
We had a vacancy this March in the office of Vice President - Sales & Marketing, unfortunately Dan Allison's volunteer time declined due to personal reasons and he reluctantly resigned. Southern Regional Secretary, Scott OConnell, was appointed in the position until this annual meeting, so another office will be voted upon. All current officers have expressed their desire to seek their current positions again.
At last years election we had some issues arise regarding the qualifications of a non-club delegate. A few members were unable to vote for all they came to represent due to the requirements below.
From our bylaws;
Qualifications for Non-Club Delegates:
A. Any group of ten (10) or more Non-Club members may be represented by one (1) delegate and/or one (1) alternate.
B. Each Non-Club delegate will have one (1) vote for each member they represent who is a member in good standing in CORVA.
C. Each Non-Club delegate must present to the CORVA Secretary, prior to the close of registration to an Association vote, a petition signed by all members they represent. This signed petition is to be valid for that session only.
Registration will begin at 9:30am and the Annual Meeting to start at 11:00am.

HWY 99 (from north or south) to Bakersfield.
Exit at Stockdale Hwy (Hwy 58) and head WEST approximately 4 miles to California State University Bakersfield.
Turn left onto campus on Don Hart Drive West.
Turn right on CSUB Way and follow it to Student Way.
Turn left on Student Way and follow it to Parking Lot “J” (on right) at the Business Development Center.
We will be in Building 44-B in Room # BDC 153
CORVA has paid for your parking so no need to buy permit!
