Help Keep Oceano Dunes SVRA open.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare the Oso Flaco Lake Area for the upcoming western Snowy Plover nesting season. Volunteers will help by removing non-native vegetation from the primary dunes area that will be enclosed and protected as a seasonal nesting area. This is a critical part of a project whose goal is to establish a suitable nesting habitat in a non-riding area of the park. Here is an opportunity to participate for all who have an interest in the success of the Oceano Dunes SVRA Plover Management Program.

 Where: Meet at the Oso Flaco Parking lot.

 Dates: Saturday February 5, 2005, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

             Saturday February 12, 2005, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

 What to bring: Appropriate gardening clothing with hat and sunscreen advisable..

 Gardening gloves. Bring a bag lunch.
