Cleveland National Forest Annual Volunteer Training Workshop on Saturday, February 10, 2007
The Cleveland National Forest, Trabuco Ranger District, will host the Annual
Volunteer Training Workshop on Saturday, February 10, 2007 for district
volunteers and the interested public. Training will include updates on district
and forest conditions, implementation of the new forest plan, review contact
procedures and volunteer call signs, hazard analysis,
fire safety, resource reporting and mapping, trail patrol and trail maintenance
planning and training opportunities, and volunteer procedures. We will also
guest speakers including, Pat Macha an air wreck expert, to talk about air
wrecks on the district!
The training will be held at the Corona City Hall, Historic Community Room,
located at 400 South Vincentia just off Sixth Street. Registration and Check-in
begins at 8:30 and the program is scheduled to end at 3:00. Please bring your
lunch or a dish to share, kitchen facilities are available.
Please note that Forest Service volunteers are required to attend an annual
training. If you miss two years you will need to reregister. All Sponsored
volunteers are encouraged to attend this informative event!
More details will come in a couple of weeks. Please bring your Volunteer
Handbook to this years training.
