Forest Plan Revisions for the Inyo, Sequoia and Sierra National Forests
The "Early Adopter Forests"
The Forest Service adopted the 2012 Planning Rule (READ HERE) and picked three forests in California to be some of the first forests to update their forest plans using the new rule. Those three forests, the Inyo, Sequoia and Sierra National Forests have been evaluating different aspects of their forest plans to present to the public. Up to this point, the forests have presented various documents for the public to review, and should finish the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for public comment during the next few months.
Everything released to the public can be found (HERE) including Wild and Scenic River and potential Wilderness designations.
